Club BRIC

Club BRIC is a political alliance that seeks to grow their economic power
and geopolitical clout. What is BRIC? BRIC stands for the fast growing
developing economies of Brazil, Russia, India and China. Estimates suggest
that by the year 2050 China will almost double the GDP of the US and India
will roughly equal the US. Brazil and Russia are interesting in that they
currently rank relatively low on the world GDP scale but these countries
would prove useful partners to a growing economy if they partnered
correctly. Brazil and Russia could supply resources to two of the three
largest manufacturing and consuming economies, China and India.

So what does this mean? The BRIC alliance appears to be eager to promote its
economic alliance and wants to support a new bond offered by IMF
(international monetary fund) which would be based on a quasi-currency
called special drawing rights or SDR’s. BRIC suggests (hopes?) that SDR’s
would someday replace the dollar. The IMF is very close to providing the new
bond offering, which would only be available to central banks, not
individual investors.

While the US struggles to find its financial and economic way, the
international vultures are amassing. While BRIC is interested in entering
the world of capitalism, they are not necessarily concerned about the dollar
or the welfare of the US.. I believe that capitalizing China and India is a
good thing in general, but maybe not so good if they kick the US to the curb
on the way. BRIC is interested in advancing their position and this by
itself isn’t necessarily evil, what is worrisome is wondering what their
involvement and motives are today with the current world financial crisis.
Who are they playing for or against? Promoting a new currency base speaks
volumes.

The way things are going with the progressive liberal takeover of America,
they probably will not need to kick us to the curb, they will probably find the
US in the curb already, begging for a hand out.
