Murtha - Unfortunate Democrat

Today on Air America Bill Press was taking the political high road when he was chastising Senator Murtha for his recent ethics debaucle. Seems at a glance strange that a left winged media pundit would jump on a democrat like this. Further more, the guest from Citizensforethics.org chimed in and noted that the Democratic Party, The Obama administration in particular looks bad when it ignores the mess because they made such a big stink about ethics reform during the campaign.

Two things stick out here.. first the democrats will turn on themselves, but only when it is painfully obvious and not possible to weasle out of it.. and second, in this case, the representative from CitizensForEthics.org was pointing out that the organization was more concerned with the image of the Obama Administration then it was with Ethics Reform.

The PeopleForEthics.org should be called PeopleForEthicsThatPromoteDemocratsOnly.org. They are not worried about Murtha violating ethics, they are only worried that the Republicans will be able to capitalize and exploit the issues to their political advantage.
