10 years of Civil Union - bye bye

In 1999 the State of Vermont passed legislation that recognized Civil Unions. It was viewed as state of the art social progression and a triumph for Liberals and Moderates widespread. After years of public debate the neanderthal right finally caved, human rights have been restored and the Christian right put in its place.

Ten years later we have several states abandoning civil unions in favor of Gay Marriage outright and the status now seems to be that Civil Unions are Passe and only something pathetic conservative Christians embrace.

In just 10 years the progressive liberal left has managed an unprecedented move to the left with this issue. The issue isn’t that the left desires to promote gay marriage, the issue is that the liberal media has moved the rhetoric so far to the left that if you were from outer space and just tuned into Air America you would think that Christians, those who believe in conventional marriage, have been reduced to the weakest and most disturbing minority group worthy of castration and any other assorted reduction in social status common to barn yard animals - Although PETA would protest even that (digression).

What is alarming is that this is not in alignment with the majority of Americans. Most Americans support conventional marriage between a man and a woman. This is an excellent example of how the liberal left media works. It lies. It can’t win the majority public opinion outright, but it can swindle the legal system. Liberal media bias works hard to pull the wool over the eyes of those susceptible to guilt and feelings void of principle and now, with the Obama Administration sprung, we have a full fledge liberal feeding frenzy.

But its OK, we all get stimulus package liberal lolli-pops and a great big 32 ounce helpin’ of Liberal Cool-aid to wash it down.
